Rumors Surrounding the iPhone SE 4: AI Features and Design Upgrades Expected
The iPhone SE 4 is rumored to launch next year, and new reports suggest that this budget-friendly iPhone might come with some significant updates, including artificial intelligence features courtesy of Apple Intelligence.
However, this isn’t the only enhancement expected for the smartphone.
According to recent leaks, the iPhone SE 4 may also adopt a design similar to the iPhone 14, feature an OLED display, and include a single 48-megapixel camera.
iPhone SE 4 to Include Apple Intelligence
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported in his Power On newsletter that Apple might unveil the iPhone SE 4 at the start of 2025, aligning with previous reports indicating a Q1 2025 launch timeline for this non-flagship model.
The most notable upgrade for the iPhone SE 4 could be the introduction of Apple Intelligence features.
Although specific AI capabilities are yet to be confirmed, it’s anticipated that some advanced on-device processing features might be absent from this model.
In terms of design, Gurman notes that the iPhone SE 4 might closely resemble the iPhone 14, boasting an OLED panel that covers the full device.
Earlier reports had hinted at the use of 6.1-inch Super XDR displays for the new iPhone SE, with some panels potentially repurposed from the iPhone 13 by LG Display as a cost-saving measure.
However, a significant portion of the displays are expected to come from BOE Technology.
Additionally, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to feature a single 48-megapixel rear camera and may be powered by Apple’s A18 chipset, with options for 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM.
Other anticipated upgrades include Face ID, a USB Type-C charging and data port, and additional enhancements to the device’s overall functionality.
