Cloud storage solutions simplify our lives by allowing us to store and access data from nearly any device. While Google Drive and Apple iCloud are widely known, other options offer similar or even more affordable services. One such option is JioCloud.

JioCloud, like Google Drive, is a cloud-based service that enables users to store and access photos, videos, documents, music, and more online. With Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) recently announcing 100 GB of free cloud storage, many are considering JioCloud as a viable alternative to Google Drive and Apple iCloud due to their subscription costs.

Google Drive is popular among Android and iOS users, while iCloud is primarily used by those within the Apple ecosystem. JioCloud, however, is designed with Jio network users in mind. It offers 5 GB of free storage with every recharge plan. Users without a Jio connection can still access JioCloud through Google, Facebook, or Apple IDs, but this comes with a limited free storage of 2 GB.

At RIL’s 47th annual general meeting (AGM), Mukesh Ambani announced that starting this Deepavali, JioCloud will provide 100 GB of free storage as part of its Jio AI Cloud welcome offer. This is a significant advantage compared to Google One’s annual plan, which costs Rs 1,300. This introductory offer is expected to be available for the first year, with new plans for additional storage to be introduced later.

Currently, JioCloud serves over 59 million users and manages approximately 29,000 TB of data, including 16 billion files and 20 billion contacts. JioCloud ensures data security with AES 256-bit encryption and maintains ISO-certified servers located in India.

JioCloud is accessible via dedicated apps for Android, iOS, Windows, and macOS, and it is also compatible with JioPhone, which runs a special version of kaiOS. Users can download the app from their respective app stores or access JioCloud via the web at jiocloud.com.
